I've had my car for nearly 16 years and, man, has a lot changed since then. Reverse cam, GPS, bluetooth, trunk release on my key - you name it, I don't have it. The side molding broke off. There's a dent on the rear side. Fender bender on the front side. The thing is, I'm okay with it. It does the job. Aside from the fact that the check engine light did come on today, it gets me from Point A to Point B. Even if I were to get another car, I'm not so sure it would have all this fancy schmancy stuff.
CLARITY
This past weekend was a family and friends reunion of sorts. There was one friend in particular whom I hadn't seen in over a year and was especially happy to reconnect with. Being with her again reminded me of the lightness in her heart and how she always sees the world through such pure eyes. It was so refreshing, I just wanted to squeeze her and tell her how much I had missed her.
